Jet Boat Tour is a unique sight-seeing tour from a specially designed Jet Boat. You sit comfortably while the powerful Jet Boat speeds upriver, making its way into the breathtaking river canyon and you listen to your jet boat captain as he points out the local environment, geology, history and culture. You might stop along the way at a local lodge and have lunch or dinner or take a hike up to an old homestead, waterfall or unique geological feature.

Jet Boats carry gear and supplies to isolated ranches or run shuttles for whitewater river rafting trips and kayak trips. They carry the mail and of course passengers like a taxi. Professional Jet Boat captains know the river like the back of their hand and the ability of their Jet Boat. Mackay Bar Jet Boat.

Mackay Bar located east of Riggins, Idaho, at the confluence of the South Fork and Main Salmon rivers. Access to the ranch by is only by raft, jet boat, or small aircraft.  The Ranch, the most modern on the river, has operated for years offering comfortable cabins, scenic hiking trails, relaxation, jet boat tours and world-renowned fishing. The area around the Ranch is teaming with wildlife.  Fishing all equipment is supplied (except license/tag).  You catch 'em - We clean 'em!

Salmon River Tours / China Bar Lodge offers a variety of Jet boat trips, some including over night lodging and meals.   Our lodge, located on China Bar at the mouth of beautiful Lemhi Creek, lies near the center of the 2.3 million acre Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness.
We offer clean, yet rustic accommodations for up to 22 guests with delicious family style meals served in the main lodge or on the deck overlooking the magnificent Salmon River. After a day in the outdoors you'll enjoy a hot shower and a warm dry bunk in one of our cabins, or you may want to sleep out under the stars.

Red Woods Outfitter based in Riggins, Idaho,  has year-round trips that can take you on a fishing adventure, jet boats, sight seeing, wildlife viewing and amazing whitewater experiences up the lower Salmon River.
Ed Woods has been operating jet boats on the Salmon and Snake Rivers for over 20 years. He knows where the fish are and he knows how to run the river. You can catch Sturgeon, Steelhead, Catfish, Trout and Bass, or look at Petrograph writing on the walls of Hells Canyon. See deer, bear, elk, and Bighorn Sheep grazing on the steep slopes of the Salmon River.

The scenery and whitewater jet boat trip makes the adventure, fishing is the added bonus.  Sightseeing, hiking and swimming are favorite summer activities. Stay at our riverside cabin and enjoy the breath taking panorama. 
We provide customized steelhead fishing expeditions on the Snake and Salmon Rivers. Or you could plan a trip to fish for bass, trout, &/or sturgeon.  We are equipped with a satellite phone in case of emergencies. Lodging is private cabin, located 18 miles above the mouth of the Salmon River.

Space is limited and advance reservations are required.
