We've had visitors celebrate anniversaries, get married, and even give birth to a baby at the Inn, though we don't encourage that! The Solaas Bed and Breakfast is perhaps the most historic and charming inn located in Salmon, Idaho. Visiting this historic gem, with its panoramic views of the Continental Divide, will be an experience you will never forget. This historic building was constructed in 1905 as a stagecoach stop along the Red Rock Stage Road. It was later converted into a train depot, and then a hotel for the G & P Railroad. Today, as the Solaas Bed and Breakfast, it continues the tradition of providing a refreshing stop for weary travelers. The friendly innkeepers at Solaas Bed and Breakfast are Roger and Sharon Solaas. They provide professional service with a big smile. Each morning they prepare a bountiful breakfast with such tantalizing temptations as raspberry crepes, stuffed French toast, cinnamon rolls or sour cream pancakes. This is in addition to seasonal fruit, farm fresh eggs, breakfast meat and Idaho potatoes. The Solaas' use fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden, in season. Breakfast is served in the charming tea room overlooking their blue-ribbon vegetable gardens. Coffee and tea are always on and always fresh and hot.

We can provide single occupancy for up to fifteen guests or multiple occupancy for up to forty guests. Hearty, plentiful meals are served ranch style and accompanied by Ste. Chapelle wines. Special requests or special dietary needs can be arranged with advance notice. For the photographer, the area around the Ranch is teaming with wildlife accented by the majestic beauty of the Salmon River and the South Fork canyons. Access the ranch by raft, jet boat, or small aircraft. Several options are available depending on your origination point. Several Air Charter services are available into the ranch. Or we pick up your group at the "end of the road" near Riggins and jet boat in to the ranch.
Twin Peaks Ranch The newer, more spacious deluxe cabins are comprised of three side-by-side units. They are available individually or together to provide connecting accommodations for up to six. The two end units have whirlpool tubs. The center unit features a queen size bed and three-quarter bath and converts into a comfortable sitting room with a game table during the day. All newer units have convenient walk-in closets and share a spacious covered porch with majestic views. We also have available a two bedroom suite with a living room, dining area, kitchen and its own washer and dryer. It also has a large porch with a swing. All units have comfortable beds, plenty of towels, and include maid service. Laundry facilities are available at the lodge. There are no telephones or TV's in the cabins.
