FROM MILD to WILD The Salmon River offers numerous family rafting opportunities ranging from ½ day float trips to fully outfitted multi day wilderness white water adventures ½ Day and 1 Day rafting trips are available in Stanley, Idaho though the River Company The River Company specializes in one-day river raft trips with lunch on the Salmon River in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area: Family Trips, Group Trips, Fishing Trips. During most of the rafting season whitewater rapids are moderate, ranging from Class 1 to Class 3 on a scale of 1 to 6. Early-season trips may also include optional Class 4 rapids that are reserved for guests fourteen and older.
The Semi wilderness section near salmon Idaho, below the North Fork section are two outfitters that offer single day trips. In July and August these trips are ideal family get-a-ways. KOOKABURRA: is a licensed and bonded outfitter owned and operated by Dwina Noesbar and Christopher Smith.
